BROWS WITH YSL BEAUTY

Brows are now my 'can't leave the house without' beauty step, straight after concealer with has my #1 top spot. Of course brows are a very personal step - some like pencils, powders or pomades so I thought I would walk you through the new YSL brow collection to find your perfect product.

I'm going to start with my favourite which is the Couture Brow Palette in the shade Medium to Dark. Powders have always been my brow product of choice, as I find them quick and easy to control (particularly when they haven't been threaded in a while).

The palette comes with three wearable shades which you can use individually or mix to create your perfect tone. I've been using a mix of the light and medium shades to use on the inner points of my brow for a natural fade and a mix of the medium and dark shades to define and extend. The little compact even comes with a brush and mini set of tweezers which are so cute and convenient for travel.
Next up is the Dessin Des Sourcils (or the brow pencil to you and I). This is a lovely soft pencil which will allow you to mimic natural brow hairs for a softer look or to define a stronger brow. I use it once I've finished with the powder to sharpen up any edges to make my brows look neater. I have the shade 4 Cendre which is a medium brown tone and blends in easily with the colour of my natural brows - it also comes with a handy spoolie to blend the pencil in as you go.
For the lover of a strong full brow there is the Couture Brow Marker - it's not one that I have frequently reached for as I feel it requires a bit more concentration however the pigment pay off is excellent allowing you to create bold strokes and quickly build up your brows. The angled nib allows you to control the application and gives you the flexibility of being super precise or quick and free.

Last but not least, the life saver that is the Couture Brow. This simple little wand is a combination of all my favourite brow gels. The wand is perfectly sized and doesn't apply too much product (which other brands seem to do) allowing you to build up and control how much product you're applying. For the days when you're too lazy to fill in your brows with powder or pencil, a quick coat of this and you're good to go.  I use the shade 1 Glazed Brown which is the perfect combination of an ashy tone and a medium deep brown and gives a perfect top coat to keep my brows in place all day long.
These are the first YSL Beauty products that I have tried and I have to say, I am in love. Not only is the packaging so beautiful but they are some of the best brow products I have used. For ease to use the palette and the brow wand are now in my everyday routine - standing out over my old trusty Bobbi Brown powder and Eylure brow mascara.

If you've tried them I'd love to hear your thoughts. Also let me know what other YSL beauty products I should try, these were kindly sent to me by YSL but now I'm dying to buy something!
