FLAWLESS, DEFINED BROWS: CHARLOTTE TILBURY

You won't be surprised to see the fabulous Charlotte Tilbury back on my blog, this time with the new brow kit. At this point, I'm sure I don't need to tell you how much I love this brand.

However, I promise to put my love of the brand aside for just a minute to give you a honest and useful review of the new Flawless, Defined Brows in Dark which is now available online, retailing at £38.

Brow Lift
Brows are my 'thing'. I love a good strong brow so I couldn't wait to try out the Brow Lift which Charlotte has paired with the new brow gel to make up the kit. The first things first, I love the colour. An ashy toned brown it works perfectly with my dark brown brows, allowing me to build up imaginary hair in those annoying sparse areas. Because it is so cool toned, it seamlessly blends in with your hairs without looking false or unnatural.

A secret little tool which I also love is the highlighting nib that you'll find in the centre of the pen. Packed with a beautiful rose gold, champagne coloured highlighter, it is a perfect shade for my olive toned skin. On sassy days I like to run it down the bridge of my nose for that a little extra 'pop'.

At first, I found the Brow Lift quite difficult to use. The nib is a lot thicker than alternative products I have used and I found it tricky to control. Maybe I just need a little more practice. If you are used to a quick and slightly thicker nib, you will get on with this no problem.

Brow Gel

The Legendary Brows Gel is definitely my favourite out of the two. The tiny little wand reminds me of something very similar to the Benefit Gimme Brow. I much prefer the tone of this dark brown gel because it sets my brows in place and a little colour to them for extra definition. This gel is a slightly warmer brown rather than ashy toned Gimme Brow which I find works better to set my brows in place, adding back a tiny bit of warmth.

The only thing I would change about it is the length of the nib. The first couple of times I used this I ended up getting gel above my brow but I've soon steadied my control.

Are you also a Charlotte Tilbury addict? Let me know if you'll be reaching for this fabulous brow duo.
